Herrin Turkey Trot

I ran the 15K again this year, even though I threatened to run the 5K. The 15K course at this Turkey Trot = three times around the 5K course. I'm glad I did! Even though I am about 15 lbs fatter this year than I was last year, I managed to finish a little faster. AND, I won my age group. There were 3 places given, so at least I know I didn't win by default.

This race was a good thing for me. I was running this race thinking about how much better I feel when I'm not carrying around so much extra weight. I was thinking about how well I was doing, even though I haven't been training at all. It's frustrating that I do that to myslef.
OK, so this time I didn't have much choice- go to work at 6am, get home at 6pm, take Chris to wrestling at 6pm, get home at 8pm... doesn't exactly leave loads of time for training, or cooking, or cleaning, or much of anything!

So, I've decided to give myself a break until work calms down. This week will be a little easier, with the extra day off (Thanksgiving).
